On September 7-9, 2024, Junior Achievement Georgia, within the framework of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Entrepreneurship Education Support in Europe and Eurasia” held a preparatory online training for teachers of the “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” program, which was organized by 49 educational institutions in different regions of Georgia. The updated version of the program was discussed at the training, teachers were provided with detailed information about important changes and teaching methods.
Through “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship”, students will learn about the so-called simulation enterprise. On the example of formation and management of the “Students’ Company”, they will be introduced to the main issues of entrepreneurial activity. Students are elected by their peers to the company’s board of directors. In accordance with the rules of the program, they raise capital, market the goods or services they have chosen and produced, and sell them. At the end of the program, they prepare and present a report to their shareholders.
Every year, the program is taught in more than 250 schools of Georgia within the framework of the project “Entrepreneurial Education Support in Europe and Eurasia” of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and more than 7000 young people will develop important skills that will help them in their entrepreneurial activities and success in the global economy.
