The program Our Family is an interdisciplinary training program, the purpose of which is to promote the formation of entrepreneurial thinking and competences among young people and to develop the skills of readiness for employment.
It discusses the following concepts:
- labor contribution of family members to family well-being;
- family needs and wishes;
- Planning the purchase of goods and services by the family.
Program goals: After completing the program, students will be able to:
- describe the similarities and differences between families;
- classify needs and wants;
- describe the jobs that people do;
- analyze their own skills to determine ways to make a personal contribution to the family;
- identify goods and services provided by local businesses;
- Explain one of the characteristics of entrepreneurship, namely, satisfaction of needs and/or desires.
JA Georgia’s Entrepreneurship Academy provides educational training to youth ages 5 to 16 that helps them develop leadership, entrepreneurship and other 21st century skills that will help them succeed in the global economy.
The programs at the “Entrepreneurs’ Academy” are taught by experienced trainers of “Junior Achievement Georgia”, who have completed international preparatory trainings for Junior Achievement programs. During training, they create a business environment and conduct interactive lessons, which significantly increases motivation among young people. Through fun games and activities, students learn basic concepts of economics and finance and develop skills that help them solve problems creatively and effectively.
The cost of training in the academy is 50 GEL.
Each training program includes 10 academic hours and 5 meetings in total.
