On April 25, from 12:30 to 19:30, at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Junior Achievement Georgia will hold an Entrepreneurship Education Forum. The forum is held within the framework of the USAID project “Entrepreneurial Education Support in Eastern Europe and Eurasia”. The project is implemented by 8 member countries of Junior Achievement: Europe (Belgium), Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Serbia, Georgia, Moldova and Macedonia.
During the event, the best five companies of the “learning companies” created within the framework of the training program “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship” will be presented, as well as the “company of the year” will be revealed, which will represent Georgia at the 29th competition of European “learning companies” in July 2018, which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia http: //coyc.jaeurope.org/ .
The event is attended by representatives of the implementing countries, USAID, business, government, educational and non-alcoholic sectors, as well as students participating in the program.
The project started in February 2017. Over the course of 3 years, the project plans to develop entrepreneurial and work-readiness competencies for 100,000 young people in Eastern Europe and Eurasia. .
As a result of the first year of project implementation, more than 200 teachers were trained in Georgia, about 6,500 students from 249 schools are involved in teaching, and 1,800 of them passed the Entrepreneurial Skills Pass at the last stage of the European quality certification. Junior Achievement WorldWide is the world’s largest educational cluster, operating in 123 countries. Its main goal is to “prepare young people to succeed in the global economy.” Founded in 1919, Junior Achievement’s programs focus on developing youth employment readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills.
