{"id":1547,"date":"2024-07-31T16:19:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T12:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/features.ge\/projects\/economic-empowerment-of-young-women-of-georgia\/"},"modified":"2024-08-28T10:48:58","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T06:48:58","slug":"economic-empowerment-of-young-women-of-georgia","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/projects\/economic-empowerment-of-young-women-of-georgia\/","title":{"rendered":"Economic empowerment of young women of Georgia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation, in August 2022, Junior Achievement Georgia launched a one-year project &#8220;Economic Empowerment of Young Women of Georgia&#8221;, which aims to encourage young women living in rural areas of Georgia to learn and implement entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n<p>The project is implemented in partnership with USAID\/Georgia and Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia and helps USAID&#8217;s basic education program achieve its goals of developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among Georgia&#8217;s youth. The project will empower young women with entrepreneurial skills and thereby contribute to the inclusive economic development of Georgia. <\/p>\n\n<p>The project will train teachers of 30 rural public schools and colleges of Guria, Ajara and Samegrelo\/Zemo-Svaneti regions. These teachers will form entrepreneurship education groups and deliver JA&#8217;s Be an Entrepreneur program to approximately 1,000 young women in their respective schools and community colleges. The &#8220;Be an Entrepreneur&#8221; program promotes business initiatives and teaches the basics of business planning.  <\/p>\n\n<p>As a result of participating in the program, young people will: study the characteristics and practices of successful entrepreneurship; will be equipped to evaluate entrepreneurial ideas; and develop key business skills such as start-up, marketing, finance, management and ethical decision-making.  <\/p>\n\n<p>At the end of the program, the young women will compete for funding for their business plans, with at least 30 of the best business ideas being funded and supported.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/features.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-31-at-16.18.48.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1082\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jag.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-31-at-16.18.48.png 700w, https:\/\/jag.ge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Screenshot-2024-07-31-at-16.18.48-300x153.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1405,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-1547","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"post_mailing_queue_ids":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/1547","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/1547\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1548,"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/1547\/revisions\/1548"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1405"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/jag.ge\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1547"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
